Mellanviktsmästaren Michael Bisping tog sig senast an och besegrade veteranen Dan Henderson via ett enhälligt domslut, då de möttes under UFC 204 i Manchester. Bisping har i dagsläget ingen match inbokad, men själv skulle han gärna ta sig an ingen mindre än Georges St-Pierre.
St-Pierre har dock hävdat att han inte längre har kontrakt hos UFC, något som organisationen har dementerat, men enligt Michael är det bara för Georges att skriva på matchkontraktet. Detta hade Bisping att säga via ”FloCombat”:
Honestly, I don’t know anything about the situation. Georges talked about fighting me a while ago and I’d love to fight the guy. It’d be terrific for me business-wise, and I also think I’d beat the guy.
Of course, it’s a good fight for me, so it’s down to him. I’m here if you want to fight, Georges. Let’s go. Sign the papers, buddy. That’s all you’ve got to do.
If I fight GSP, we all know how it goes down: He’s going to shoot from the other side of the Octagon for his dear life. He’s going to try and take me down, and it’s going to be the most boring match ever.
No doubt, he will probably get a takedown here or there because that’s all he does. I will continue to get back to my feet each and every time and punch him in his face until he falls over or until the fight ends. I will be the winner, I will be victorious, and I will beat Georges St-Pierre.
Enligt Michael har han inga allvarliga skador efter mötet mot Henderson, och kan snart vara redo för ännu en match inne i oktogonen:
I had a CT scan after the fight, and I’m all good. There’s some misinformation going around. I don’t know where they’re all getting it, but they are incorrect. I’m good…I’m healthy.
My leg is a little bruised, but a bit of ice and a few more days, and I’ll be good to go.
