Andrei Arlovski har just brutit sin förlustsvit på fyra matcher i och med vinsten mot Ben Rothwell under UFC on ESPN 4. Nu ber tungviktaren dock om ursäkt för sitt dåliga ordval under en intervju med mmajunkie som tog plats just efter matchen. Arlovski hade lovat sin son att vinna matchen och slog då också ifrån sig den kritik som bland annat rör hans förmåga att ta smällar.

“Once again I will tell everyone shut your (expletive) mouths about my ‘glass chin,’ so go f*ck yourself, fa**ots. That’s it. I proved to everyone you’re f*cking wrong.”
Igår, (söndag) så bad Arlovski om ursäkt för delar av sitt utspel.
“I apologize to anyone I offended with my poor choice of words. I did not mean to offend any one group or person. I am deeply sorry and will not use these type of words in the future.”
UFC har tagit avstånd från kommentarerna och har också tagit kontakt med Arlovski och hans team för att diskutera situationen. Detta via mmajunkie.

We have already addressed this issue directly with Andrei and his team. This is an ongoing priority for the organization, and there will be continued monitoring of these types of situations moving forward.”
Detta är varken första eller sista gången en UFC-fighter tvingats att be om ursäkt för sitt dåliga ordval. Vi har bland annat bevittnat Conor McGregor, Michael Bisping, och Fabricio Werdum säga saker dom senare ångrat och bett om ursäkt för.
