Under helgens UFC Brasilia lyckades Moreno ta hem en seger över Jussier Formiga under galans underkort. Under en intervju med media efteråt beskrev Moreno matchen som tuff men att han ser en ljus framtid då han anser sig berättigad en titelmatch.

Moreno argumenterade även för att en vinst över Formiga, som i sin tur besegrat Figueiredo som senast mötte Benavidez om den vakanta titeln, gör att han har bra förutsättningar för en vinst över Figueiredo.
