Det har nu under en tid gått rykten om att en MMA-debut planeras för boxningsmästaren Floyd Mayweather i UFC. Enligt welterviktsmästaren Tyron Woodley, tränar han just nu Mayweather inför en match.
Chael Sonnen tror dock inte på att detta är sant, vilket han berättade via Instagram.

It’s not as though Floyd’s packing up to go and do a training camp in missouri. Why would Tyron Woodley pack up and go to vegas… To train a non-mixed martial artist… For martial arts?
If Foyd Mayweather did any level of mma or grappling, that’s going to be documented. Nobody can keep the secret anymore. Even in situations where cameras are banned. Cameras always find a way in.
I’m just not going for it, man. I think it’s a publicity stunt by both of ’em. But I tend to hope it’s true. There’s a part of me, I really would like to see that. How fast, how quickly… Could a world class athlete, one of the best athletes in the history of the world… how fast could he pick up mma?
Mayweather har se senaste månaderna vid flera tillfällen lagt upp bilder/videor på sig själv i en MMA-bur med MMA-handskar och redigerat in sig i bilder i ett möte i med Conor Mcgregor.
