I slutet av förra månaden uppstod det tjafs mellan Nick Diaz och Colby Covington, efter att Covington riktat trash talk mot honom.
Covington kallade bland annat Diaz för ’soy boy’.

It doesn’t matter if I fight Marty Fakenewsman [Kamaru Usman] next, it doesn’t matter if I fight the Diaz sisters next, doesn’t matter if I fight my best friend [Jorge Masvidal] next, but my title will be defended at Madison Square Garden. The journeyman Nate Diaz? He’s hooked on weed, he needs to get hooked on phonics. He’s a bum. He’s got Stockton slaps but he ain’t got MAGA bombs. He needs to stay in Stockton and keep eating his soy because he’s a little soy boy.
Diaz svarade med följande, via ’TMZ’:
I’m not gonna sit here and call the man a liar, I never heard about it, I just found out. If you wanna fight, you know where to find me. I’m not a hard guy to find. Step in my motherf**king range right here. Come at me, bro.
I det senaste avsnittet av BJPenns podcast berättade Covington att han förra året blev erbjuden en match mot Diaz.
Han menar nu att Diaz helt enkelt är rädd för att gå match och att han uppvisar tecken på boxardemens (CTE).
Yeah, I saw that video, man. It was really sad. I think Nick Diaz is really starting to see the effects of CTE, he’s a mumbling, stumbling little dummy. The guy’s hooked on weed. He needs to get hooked on phonics. That guy’s embarrassing man.
He’s taking way too many shots to the head to be talking like that to the welterweight king Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington. So there’s not really much to say. I hope he enjoys retirement.
We all know he’s scared to fight because he was offered a fight contract last year, MSG and he turned it down like the little bitch, a little Stockton soy boy he is. Nick Diaz has the Stockton slap, but that ain’t got shit on me and what I got: MAGA bombs.
Covington mötte senast den forne welterviktsmästaren Robbie Lawler under UFC 238 där han segrade via ett enhälligt domslut. Det var tänkt att han skulle få nästa titelchans mot mästaren Kamaru Usman under UFC 244, men det blev inte av då man inte kom överens om ett matchkontrakt.
Diaz har inte heller någon match bokad. Senast han var aktiv var 2015, då han mötte Anderson Silva.
