UFCs president Dana White förmedlar att Conor McGregor inte kommer gå några fler matcher det här året. McGregor har hittills klivit in i oktagonen vid ett tillfälle under 2020, där han besegrade Donald Cerrone i januari.
Ingen mer McGregor under 2020
Conor McGregor (22-4) kommer inte gå någon mer match under det här året. Det berättar UFC-bossen Dana White, som varit i samtal med den forne dubbelmästaren. McGregor gick tidigare under året i pension, och White har genom alla spekulationer om irländarens återkomst vidhållit att Conor är klar med sporten. Nu har han ännu en gång kommit ut och förnekat alla möjligheter om att man skall få se McGregor slåss för en andra gång under 2020.
Conor är pensionerad
Enligt White skall UFC ha planerat matchningar ända fram till den 7 november, och Conor McGregor finns inte bland dem.
He is retired. Conor McGregor is not fighting. He is retired. I have no plans. I’m in the war room right now and this thing (matchkalendern) is laid out to November. We have fights laid out until November 7 and Conor McGregor is not on any of them.
Även om White inte vill avböja möjligheten att Conor återvänder till oktagonen nästa år, förklarar han att ingen sådan match är planerad.
This year he’s retired. He doesn’t have a fight this year and he won’t have a fight this year. Conor McGregor will not fight in 2020. I’m not saying he won’t fight in 2021 but I’m telling you, we don’t have a fight planned for him in 2021. I guarantee you he won’t fight again in 2020. Conor McGregor is retired.

Dana White avslutar med att återigen försäkra om att McGregor i dagsläget är pensionerad. Dock avslöjar han att han själv inte tror att det är det sista man får se av irländaren i kampsport. När det kommer till ryktena om att Conor skulle möta den flerfaldiga boxningsmästaren Manny ”Pac Man” Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KOs) i boxningsringen, tycks White inte ha någon större lust att diskutera den saken.
