Tidigare under året, under UFC 266, så gjorde Nick Diaz (26-10) sin comeback till MMA och han förlorade då mot Robbie Lawler (29-15-1) via knockout. Efter comebacken anser UFCs VD, Dana White, att Diaz inte borde gå fler matcher. Detta oavsett om Diaz såg bra ut eller inte i samband med matchen i övrigt.
Tror inte att Diaz älskar det han gör
Under en intervju med amerikanska ESPN berättade White att han inte anser att Diaz borde gå fler matcher då han inte tror att Diaz älskar det han gör.
Regardless of how good he looked or what he did after such a huge layoff, I don’t think Nick should fight. It’s not that I was in favor of it. He’s a grown man and can do whatever he wants to do. I just don’t think that Nick does it because he loves it. I think Nick does it because he has to do it. I don’t know, man. People always ask me, ‘What’s the key to success?’ It’s all about being happy and doing what you love.
