Dustin Poirier har under en tid försökt få till en ny bokning mot Nate Diaz och nu ser det ut som att det kan bli av.
I en intervju med ’MMAJunkie’ berättar Poirier att UFC har kontaktat Diaz om en match mot honom i maj eller juli. Nu återstår det bara att se om Diaz tackar ja.

I spoke to [UFC matchmaker] Sean [Shelby] last night. I know that they offered him the fight either in California in May, or International Fight Week [in Las Vegas in July]. We’ll see if he takes it. The offer is out there.
Dude, last time was a mess. I don’t care what he says. He knows the truth, it was a mess. They were offering me Kevin Lee as a replacement and it just fell apart.
But if [Diaz] says yes, I expect him to show up.
De två var bokade för en match i slutet av 2018, men det blev sedan inte av på grund av skador.
Senast Poirier gick match var mot lättviktsmästaren Khabib Nurmagomedov i september, där han förlorade via submission i tredje ronden. Innan detta hade han 4 raka vinster, mot Anthony Pettis, Justin Gaethje, Eddie Alvarez och Max Holloway.
