Gegard Mousasi gick ut i media med sitt missnöje över behandlingen från PFL. Nu väljer organisationen att avsluta sitt samarbete med forne mästaren.
PFL vs. Gegard Mousasi
Efter det att organisationen köpte upp Bellator MMA fann sig plötsligt flera fighters i ett nytt sammanhang. Bland dessa fanns Gegard Mousasi, veteranen med erfarenhet i UFC, Bellator, Pride och Strikeforce. Holländaren kom dock aldrig att bokas in för ett framträdande med nya arbetsgivaren. Till följd av detta uttalade han sig i media om situationen. Han menade då att PFL vägrade ge honom en match förens han själv går med på att få mindre betalt.
Mousasi gick inte med på detta och hamnade så sätt i frysboxen. Under en intervju med Ariel Helwani utryckte han sin frustration och påstod att PFL förstört hans karriär.
I know they owe me fights, they have a contract with me. They maybe want to put pressure on me for a pay cut. Why would I want to do that? They say this and that, but I know better, let’s say that. Just give me a fight!
Vid försök till kommunikation ska han blivit ignorerad av ledningen.
My manager tries to contact them, and they don’t even respond. There’s no effort to promote [me] or get me a fight. It’s just radio silence with them, and people think I’m retired. They try to be the No. 2 organization in the world, but I think at least they can do is tell me what the plans are.
Vidare förklarade ”The Dreamcatcher” att media är hans enda sätt att nå ut till vederbörande. Något som äntligen verkar ha gått fram.
Kontraktet rivs
På Twitter gick organisationen ut med att de har rivit Mousasis kontrakt, detta med fighterns godkännande.

Bara för några dagar sedan gick Gegard ut i media med att han ämnar stämma PFL.
Well they said the amount they want to cut me is so much that it is better for me to look somewhere else, do something else. At this moment, listen if someone don’t want me, I’m like fuck it, I go. Senaset gången vi såg honom i buren var för ett år sedan. Då åkte ha på sin andra raka förlust, detta efter en framgångsrik tid i Bellator där han bland annat lyckades bli dubbelmästare.
