Senast Georges St Pierre klev in i oktagonen var det på UFC 217 då han vann mellanviktstiteln mot Michael Bisping. Sedan dess har han gett upp titeln och det har talats om att han i och med det återigen skulle gå i pension. I en intervju med TSN så påstår Georges St Pierres coach Firas Zahabi att St Pierre kommer att återvända till MMA och det då kommer att bli till ännu en superfight och denna gång möjligen mot Conor McGregor eller till och med mot Floyd Mayweather.
Hard to say, hard to say honestly. I think Georges is going to get better, get back in the gym, he’s gonna feel his body out. See what he wants, you know? What’s the most interesting, epic fight out there? Mayweather, McGregor?

You know, it’s those people. If you’re criticizing Georges, do what he did. Do what he did first, then criticize him. You know it’s not easy to do what he did. He defended the title over and over again. Lots of guys had their chance. Get in line, make your weight, the way he did it. He never complained about nobody, he did it without complaining about anybody. You know you don’t win the title, you take the title. You take it by force, you don’t negotiate for it, that’s the whole reality.
