Sociala medier-jätten Jake Paul kommer att åka till Colorado Springs för att träna vid sidan av boxare som hoppas bli uttagna till OS nästa år.
Jake Paul inleder samarbete med amerikanska OS-landslaget i boxning
Jake Paul kommer att ingå i ett samarbete med USA:s boxningslandslag inför de olympiska spelen i Paris nästa år. Detta uppgav representanter för landslaget via ESPN igår.
Paul, 26 år, kommer att resa till det olympiska träningscentret i Colorado och täcka det som händer där via sina konton på sociala medier. Detta i hopp om att bygga upp lagets popularitet och i synnerhet amatörboxningen. Paul kommer dessutom coacha boxarna i att bygga upp deras egna varumärken.
USA Boxing:s ordförande Mike McAtee uttalade sig som följande enligt ESPN i och med beskedet:
Within just three years of becoming a professional boxer, Jake Paul has become a standout inspiration to younger generations and has emerged as one of the most exciting, influential figures in boxing history.
Jake’s mentorship will be a vital resource to the young athletes on Team USA to ensure they capitalize on building brand IP as they get the opportunity to perform on the biggest stage in the world at the most iconic contest in history: the Olympics.
De redan kvalificerade olympiska boxarna Joshua Edwards och Morelle McCane närvarade vid Pauls boxningsmatch mot Andre August i helgen. De gick ut med Paul inför matchen som denne vann via knockout i första ronden.

It has always been my goal to shine a spotlight not just on boxing as a sport, but on the people who work so hard to be the best within it.
The mindset of pursuing greatness is one I both see and personally share with Mo McCane, Joshua Edwards, and the rest of Team USA’s boxing talent. The Olympics are the greatest stage in the world, and I’m honored to help bring awareness to USA Boxing and mentor these young, inspiring athletes as they fight for gold. Anyone who works hard enough to receive the honor to represent Team USA at the Olympics deserves a platform, so I’m looking forward to getting down to business in Colorado Springs with Coach [Billy] Walsh and the rest of Team USA.

Paul driver också en välgörenhetsorganisation kallad Boxing Bullies som har hållit event med unga boxare som belyst anledningarna och effekterna av mobbing. De har även renoverat flera boxningsgym i USA.
