Mötet mellan Kelvin Gastelum och Israel Adesanya i helgen på UFC 236 blev en match som kommer gå till historieböckerna. Dessvärre för Gastelum måste en vinnare krönas och denna gång blev det Adesanya som lämnade oktagonen med händerna resta och interimbältet i mellanvikt. Trots att förlusten nog är jobbig verkar inte Gastelum sura utan blickar istället mot framtiden

Gastelum postade även ett meddelande via Instagram story där han visade hur tacksam han är för sina fans och responsen han fått.

“After the fight, I went to the hospital, got stitched up, got pain medication, because I’m in pain pretty good. Israel put a good beating on me. I hope you guys liked the fight. We either win or we learn, and I feel like I learned so much in this fight. We’re only going to get better, I’m only going to come back stronger. And make the things that I did wrong, we’re going to make them right. For the next few fights you’ll see the results. So thank you everybody for the awesome messages, the support has been amazing, each and every one of you.”

Adesanya själv har redan tackat Gastelum efter matchen och kallar kriget de hade i oktagonen för legendariskt.

Matchen i helgen kunde bara officiellt ha en vinnare, men egentligen hade matchen i helgen ingen förlorare heller och hatten av till dessa kämpar för att även göra oss fans och tittare till vinnare.
