Michael “Venom” Page har lagt sitt intensiva bråk med domaren Dan Miragliotta bakom sig efter att de tillsammans kommit fram till att Miragliotta inte längre ska döma MVPs fighter.
I en intervju efter hans vinst mot Richard Kiely i oktober vid Bellator Dublin, hävdade Page att Miragliotta ska ha kallat honom ”a piece of sh*t” under fighten. Efter detta insisterade MVP att han aldrig någonsin ville ha sin fight dömd av honom. Miragliotta berättar hans syn på situationen I en intervju med MMA fighting.
Efter det ultimatum som Page gav och en konversation, så verkar nu bråket ha lagt sig mellan de två.
“I was in New York the other day and I spoke to Dan,” Säger Page till MMA Fighting’s Eurobash podcast.
“He came up to me and he apologized for…just the whole thing. We had a nice discussion so for me, that episode is now past; it’s old news now. That’s all I said I wanted, I wanted to have a face to face with him. All respect to him, he came up to me and we’ve squashed that. It’s just a thing of the past now.”
MVP ville inte gå in på detaljer över hur deras konversation hade varit men han sa att båda var redo att gå vidare från incidenten i Dublin tidigt förra månaden.
“For me now, it’s a full stop on the situation. I don’t care to go over specifics. That would probably keep us on bad terms because we’d probably end up disagreeing on something. I appreciate the fact that he came over and apologized for any bad blood and me feeling negative about him in any way. I just accepted that for what it is. We shook hands and we’ll move on from there.”
När MVP mötte en motreaktion så gick han ut med ett uttalande om att han var relativt obrydd gällande situationen.
“People’s responses are very unpredictable, it’s like the English weather. A lot of times it’s just a stupid mentality from a couple of people – they say one thing and everyone just jumps on the bandwagon. It doesn’t bother me at all.”
