Ronaldo ”Jacare” Souza tänker inte vänta på att en titelmatch ska presentera sig, utan vill tillbaka in i oktagonen efter att det blev klart att Luke Rockhold kommer möta mellanviktsmästaren Chris Weidman. Som sin nästa motståndare vill Souza möta ingen mindre än Vitor Belfort, förutsatt att han accepterar utmaningen.

I don’t think it’s fair. I thought that Rockhold should get past by me to fight for the title, or wait before I get my shot at the title. That’s the reality, there’s no other way, but unfortunately happened this way and we have to do one more fight.
I’m anxious and always ready to fight. Give me a tough opponent and I will beat him up. I won’t wait for anyone. I was not born to wait, I was born to become champion.
I could fight Belfort, yes. If he accepts, I can fight him.
Souza har i dagsläget hela åtta raka segrar i bagaget, där sju av dem tillkommit via olika former av avslut. Om vi kommer att få se Ronaldo ta sig an Belfort härnäst återstår att se.
