Sean Strickland (24-3) har attackerat Luke Rockhold (16-5) efter att nyheten om deras potentiella match kommit ut. Detta efter att Rockhold sågat Strickland som lämplig motståndare och kallat honom idiot.

Strickland kommer senast från en dominant seger över Uriah Hall förra veckan och verkar mer än redo att kliva upp till nästa nivå mellanviktsklassen. En del hade velat se honom redan möta en topp-5 rankad fighter men istället lär han möta viktklassens forne mästare i from av Rockhold.
Efter att Rockhold kallat Strickland för en nolla var den senare snabb med att svara på detta via Instagram med att de kommer slåss vare sig det blir i buren eller utanför:

Strickland fortsatte med följande där han menade att Rockhold är en :

And you seem like the kind of p*ssy that runs his f*cking mouth and gets hit and then calls the cops. But you’re such a smug, cocky motherf*cker … I would probably take a misdemeanor charge just to smack you and watch your f*cking head bounce off the ground. So again, we don’t gotta fight. But don’t run your f*cking mouth, because I’m going to see you again, and I’m going to smack you in the f*cking face.
