Det är inte bara Vision som drabbas av skandaler. Bellator upplever nu lite turbulens efter att Felice Herrig har anklagat sin före detta motståndare Michele Gutierrez för att fejka en skada.
De båda skulle egentligen mötas på Bellator 84 den 14 december, men då Michele nu har skadat sig kommer Herring istället att möta ersättaren Patricia Vidonic. Problemet är att enligt Felice har Michele inte alls skadat sig, utan istället ska hon ha problem med att klara viktnedgånen och därför valt att istället fejka en skada.
Felice och Michele skulle mötas i en 115 pounds match. Men enligt Felices manager Brian Butler, som fightersonly kontaktade, så ska Michele just nu ligga på en vikt över 140 pounds.
We are very disappointed that things played out the way they did and that the fight is now canceled. Obviously the hardest part for any fighter is to go through an entire camp and put all your resources into private sessions with coaches, the correct diet and just the overall grind. So when something like this happens with so much shady evidence around it this emotions can run high.
We heard through several credible sources close to Michele’s camp that she had plans of pulling out of this fight several weeks ago due to her weight being at 140+ pounds and that she was in fact NOT injured. We did not have hard evidence until we saw the postings on Twitter. We could not verify if they were authentic but they looked very convincing.
Another news outlet posted on Twitter that they called Michele and confirmed they were in fact authentic. Bellator has found another opponent and she will rematch with Patricia Vidonic (7-3-0). Felice’s focus is now 100% on this bout.
Förutom förklaringen ifrån Brian Butler så har Felice även publicerat två suspekta bilder på Twitter som sägs härstamma ifrån Michele.
Hur det nu än ligger till med bilderna och deras äkthet så kommer det nog inte att dröja länge innan vi har svaret på vad som verkligen hänt. Det ska även bli intressant att se hur Bellator väljer att hantera det här om det visar sig att uppgifterna stämmer, då Michele inte bara missar vikten utan dessutom ljuger för att försöka för att dölja sitt eget misstag.
