This is your first fight in the UFC, does it feel any different from other fights?
– There hasn’t been any real difference in my preparation methods for this fight but I’m definitely noticing that there is additional attention and excitement for it as the date draws near.  I’m sure that will continue to build right up until fight day, säger Couture till Kimura.se.

You’re fighting against a well-known and very talented fighter in Ross Pearson. What’s  your opinion about him as a fighter?
– I’m a big fan of Ross and have always enjoyed watching him compete.  He has heavy hands and an aggressive, exciting style that I’ll have to be ready to deal with.  I’m looking forward to putting on a great show for the Swedish fans.

The event takes place in Stockholm, Sweden. What do you know about Sweden as a country? Have you been here before and/or do you have a relationships with any swedes?
– I have not been to Sweden before and, unfortunately, don’t know a whole lot about it.  I’m really looking forward to seeing Stockholm and learning as much as I can during my time over there.  I do have one Swedish friend, Marcus Kowal, who will be acting as my tour guide as well as helping to work my corner on fight night.

It’s said that your fight will be the co-main event. Did u expect that, and how does that feel?
– I was very excited to learn that Ross and I would be the co-main event for this broadcast.  That’s a big step up from fighting on the preliminary cards for my last three bouts.  It will be great exposure and a chance for me to show a lot of new fans what I can do.

What’s your game plan coming in and what will be your biggest challenge in the fight?
– As usual, it will be in my best interest to force a grappling match in this fight.  That’s where I will have the biggest advantage.  I need to avoid Ross’s power punches and choose my openinigs wisely to take the fight to the mat.

How will the fight play out, and what’s your prediction?
– It’s always tough to make a prediction, especially when faced with such a talented opponent.  If I’m able to perform to my abilities, I see myself wearing Ross down over the first two rounds and submitting him in the third.

Do you have any plans to check out Stockholm while you prepare for the fight or after?
– I’m hoping to spend some time sight-seeing during the lead-up to the fight but there is no guarantee that I’ll have time.  As such, I haven’t made any specific plans.  If the opportunity arises, I’ll have to figure it out on the fly.

Any message to the Swedish MMA-fans who are waiting to see your bout against Pearson?
– I’d like to thank the Swedish fans for supporting the event and making it a success.  I’m very excited to get over there and perform for them.
