Miesha Tate är villig att ta en fight mot Cristiane Justino Venâncio, aka Cris Cyborg. Tate förlorade sitt bälte i juli i år under UFC 200 där hon mötte Amanda Nunes. Tate förlorade matchen via rear-naked choke i första ronden. Tate har tidigare frågat efter en match mot fjäderviktaren, Cyborg, en match som UFC tidigare avfärdat.
When I was the champ, they told me that they would not … do a catchweight, so either she has to meet you at 135 or you have to not be the champion. Cyborg gick sin senaste match under ”UFC Fight Night: Cyborg vs. Lansberg” mot svenskan, Lina Länsberg, där Cyborg kunde avsluta matchen via teknisk knockout i andra ronden.
Tate har redan en planerad fight mot Raquel Pennington den 12e november på UFC 205. En fight mellan Tate vs Cyborg får dock vänta.
